A bit about me: Lorin
Lorin Beller Blake is an inspirational and powerful leader of women business owners. Since launching Big Fish Nation – a set of creative tele-programs, books and tools designed to guide and empower women business owners – in 2001, she has served thousands of ‘Big Fish’ and helped empower them to realize their ideal lives – not just as successful, prosperous entrepreneurs, but as women who feel balanced and fulfilled on all levels. Most recently, Lorin has had the great pleasure of coaching Dr. Tererai Trent, Oprah’s Favorite Guest in her 25 years as she launches her business.
Lorin is an expert on the topic of entrepreneurship in that she started, with a partner, a technology company in the early 90′s and grew it to a 3+ million dollar firm and sold it in 2000. She is also a Mom. Therefore, she speaks from experience of juggling it all.
In 2010, Lorin was honored with two prestigious International Stevie Business Awards: Women Supporting Women Award, as well as Mentor of the Year Award. Lorin has been a featured speaker at numerous international forums and conferences including the National Association of Women Business Owner Chapters from coast to coast, Canada’s Women in Business National Expo, Sales and Marketing Executives International, Young Entrepreneurs Organization and eWomenNetwork. Lorin has also been a co-host on the Kathryn Zox Radio show for 5 years – in 2009’s their show was the most listened to show on Voice America.

Personally, You can often find Lorin enjoying the outdoors and is currently living in San Diego with her daughter (6) and dog (almost blind little Shiba Inu). Lorin is very conscious of her health and enjoys working out regularly and eating well (gluten free!). She has been known to be a bit of an outdoor adventurist in that she has been hang-gliding off of Stinson Beach in California and horseback riding on the beaches of the Caribbean, Zip-lining in Costa Rica and swimming through the mangroves in Mexico or simply a peaceful paddle in her kayak in New York’s Adirondack Mountains. Yet, Lorin knows that truly the greatest times are the sweet simple moments with her family and friends.
About Our Team:
Gail Benmosche has been a part of Lorin’s team since 1995 in some capacity. She has many skills, including bookkeeping, web updates, constant contact, and project management. Gail is most often found behind the scenes making things run smoothly and efficiently.
She is our detail professional and a long time friend and will quickly become a friend of yours. Oh, she is a practicing Big Fish too and has been since the beginning!
We have 2 Big Fish Coaches — Nancy Duncan and Amy Cotter. These two women are the most amazing coaches on the planet. As Lorin is, Nancy and Amy are Certified Professional Co-Active Coaches via The Coaches Training Institute.
Nancy is a coach that will ‘hold your feet to the fire but love you fiercely to the end goal.’ She comes with a warning this year! She will want your goals as much as you do! She is a true Big Fish Expert business coach. She also has extensive experience in Human Resources. Nancy is a Mom to an adult daughter, as well as a dedicated fitness, yoga and meditation enthusiast. Nancy is a student of life and is constantly putting herself in a place to learn and at the same time, she is an expert coach that knows how to support you to accomplish your big goals!
Amy is sharp and savvy — she will challenge you and ask the hard questions while cheering you on like no other. She is ‘where the rubber meets the road!’ She is also one of the most consistent people that I know. This skill is one, that in my opinion, is critical for success. Amy is leadership trainer at a local college. Amy is Mom to a little boy that she and her husband adopted a few years ago. She is amazing at knowing her priorities and helping you stay true to yours. Amy is a student of life and also a Big Fish Expert business coach.
Without these two women, we could not support the number of women business owners that we do each year. With them, they offer that impeccable and sacred private time that you only receive by having a business coach that holds your vision with you like no one else can.
Kimberly Maeder is our Big Fish Relations Gal. Which means a lot of things. Kimberly coordinates Lorin’s speaking schedule and Lorin’s availability for speaking. Kimberly coordinates much of our marketing and sales efforts and finally coordinates special events for Big Fish Nation. Kimberly lives in Austin, TX with her husband and two daughters.
Last but not least, Starla King. This chick has my back as our writer and blogger and social media strategist. You may already know Starla on Twitter as @starlajking. Starla is brilliant at getting a businesses culture and writing within that culture. She is also great at the details and supports me in all the details it takes to coordinate a blog share — she keeps tabs on our stats and fine tunes our plan accordingly, and she is an expert writer to boot! Collaborating with Starla is a no-brainer as she makes it all easy!
So this Big Fish team’s expertise is exclusively in supporting and serving Women Business owners who are ready to create bliss for themselves while running a business that rocks!
